Sesame Street Games

Sesame Street has kid-safe, fun, and education games for younger children.

National Geographic Kids

PBS Kids has educational games and videos from Curious George, Wild Kratts and other PBS KIDS shows! Younger children may need help navigating some of the menus.
NASA Kids offers kids of all ages a chance to explore space and see our world from a new perspective.

National Geographic Kids offers fun games with interesting facts, science clips, and more.
The Smithsonian Kids site content is more appealing to middle schoolers and high schoolers, but their live-cam videos of animals at the National Zoo are great for all ages.

DOGO News is the leading global literacy platform used by millions of students and English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. It offers interesting articles and videos that can be sorted by grade level or interest.

Outdoors

UNICEF Kid Power has great ideas for outdoor family fun.

A great website that features small business education (see their library section) in addition to their small business loan guarantee programs and disadvantaged business programs.

FAMEE Foundation

The Foundation for the Advancement of Marketing Excellence in Entrepreneurs.

SCORE

The Service Corps of Retired Executives and their website features small business how to articles, as well as email counseling requests (free). This is a great place to find someone with specific industry expertise in the area you may be seeking.

Entrepreneurship.org

An entrepreneurial resource site from the Kaufmann Foundation, one of the nation’s most active foundations that supports entrepreneurship. This site lists not only their articles, but links to some of the best small business articles.

USA.GOV/Business

A “one stop shop” for business information pertaining to the federal government.

Inc Magazine

An excellent magazine that reports on small business topics. All of their articles are archived on their website.

Entrepreneur Magazine

Another great magazine that is focused towards the small business owner.

Nolo.com

An outstanding legal site. Some of their legal references for small business are paid, but they also offer a large number of free articles.

Legal Aid Society for Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands
Their free services help low-income people exercise and advance their workplace rights: clinics & helplines, policy work, litigation, training & online info.
The American Bar Association offers resources for finding legal assistance.

Accessibility

Tennessee Library for Accessible Books & Media (LABM)

A free library program of over 150,000 recorded, large print, and braille materials available to residents of Tennessee who are not able to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. The Tennessee Library for Accessible Books and Media (TLABM) partners with the National Library Service at the Library of Congress (NLS) to administer this free library service. Call them at (615) 741-3915 or (800) 342-3308 for more information.

National Library Service (NLS) is a free braille and talking book library service for people with temporary or permanent low vision, blindness, or a physical, perceptual, or reading disability that prevents them from using regular print materials. Through a national network of cooperating libraries, NLS circulates books and magazines in braille or audio formats, that are instantly downloadable to a personal device or delivered by mail free of charge.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention launched its Mental Health Month awareness campaign.
